Geoff Riding West Part II October 02 2014
Sandpoint was a great stop in the tour with good beer good people and a beautiful town. I set out in the afternoon and biked out of town to set up camp on the river.
Day 6 I cruised into Washington! Found a cave to check out not too far in and then cruised to Ione to camp outside of town.
Next morning I set out for tiger pass. A quick 1,200 ft climb and then a long cruise down to Colville with a stop at crystal falls and over to Kettle Falls for the night.
Day 8 I left Kettle Falls, crossed the Columbia River and climbed 4,000 vertical feet to the top of Sherman Pass. I cruised down the pass to Republic and hit the campground just out of town which was completely deserted.
Today was day 9 and I went up Wauconda Pass and down to the town of Tonasket. I've got 2 more big passes ahead of me before I get to the ocean!
